Flooding!!!

Been away for awhile? Check out old newsletters in the Archive !
flooding The lake is supposed to be very low right now for property owners to do work on docks. Duke Power had it way down with the plan to keep it down for the month of November. We had a HUGE rain last week; a neighbor found 9 inches of rain in her rain guage. Once the lake goes back down we will do some work on the tower and the I-dock walkway. We will get some photos as we go.

2011 Schedule
includes 2 week session in August

This new 2 week session is intended to give campers a good bit of the camp experience. Running August 5 - 18th, we will spend time getting familiar with the choices available at camp and will be spend the night out in some really neat locations. Campers will have the chance to go on overnights with the activities and with their cabin.

We have been traveling quite a bit recently. Some lucky folks got to see theeven though it is not finished. The sneek peaks are well worth it. We will send copies to all recent campers and everyone who has requested one.
We visited Max and Parker in New Orleans. We saw Lorn in Houston along with Henry and Peter, Hanson in Mandeville. Wilder in Louisville; Tim, Alfredo and Alexander in Cincinnati, all three Thagards in Birmingham, along with James, Gilbert, Lewis, Hugh and Barton. And many more folks in Raleigh, Charleston, Dallas, Houston, etc. etc.

Taylor Harris recently checked in. Showing his camp blood he is recycling building materials with a company called Full Circle. He got the name from the Green River and paddling the different sections. Beginning on the lower, then continuing until running the narrows, and coming full circle to enjoying the simplicity of a well known river.
