2026 Staff!

Liv Halsall, from Liverpool, England will be her for her 2nd summer! She’s exited to get back and teach lessons and go for trail rides on the Back 40. She loves all things animals, and is currently doing a Master’s in Animal Nutrition at the University of Glasgow. When she’s not studying, she enjoys working at the zoo and taking care of her dog!

Olivia Dyer, from the West of Ireland, will be here for her 2nd summer on staff! She is currently studying psychology in first year at college and is excited to try something new this summer. Olivia has a passion for horses that started at a very young age. She is super excited to have the opportunity to share her love of horses and continue learning new skills herself here at Mondamin!

Diego Lopez from Mexico City is a sports enthusiast, who mostly learned at the YMCA or in sports schools, particularly his favorites are soccer, basketball and swimming, which he has practiced since he was a child. He is very excited to be a counselor again but this time at a new camp. He can’t wait for the summer to come!!

Colby Luke-Judy, from Charlotte, North Carolina, was a camper for 3 summers. During his time here, he enjoyed sailing, horseback riding, and mountaineering! He now sails competitively for UNC Chapel Hill, and leads his fellow students in hiking/backpacking trips all around NC through the Carolina Outing Club. He says wouldn’t be where he is without Mondamin

Hi! My name is Kevin Raigoza, and I’m from Pereira, Colombia. This will be my first time at a Summer Camp, and I’m super excited and ready to make this an amazing experience for everyone. I love nature, animals, and especially soccer. I’ve been a high-performance soccer player and I cannot imagine my life without this sport. I also enjoy hiking and have done several hikes in my country, and I hope to explore new trails in the United States as well. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and giving my best this summer. Cam Lenhart, from Atlanta, Georgia, will be here for his 1st summer on staff! He was a camper for 5 years, and his brother is a Mondamin camper as well. Cam is a paddler, guitarist, and rugby player. Paddling has taken him to the Deerfield River in Massachusetts, the Ottawa River in Canada, the Sjoa River in Norway, and many wild rivers across the southeast. He currently studies engineering at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He is super stoked to join his first summer on staff!

Jackson Lammers, from Asheville, NC, attends Northern Michigan University where he is studying Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management. He will be here for his 4th summer on staff, and he was a camper for one summer. His sisters spent many summers at camp Green Cove as well. Jackson is a Wilderness first responder, and enjoys backpacking and climbing.

Ben Williams, from Wellington, New Zealand will be here for his first summer on staff! Ben is a tennis and soccer player as well and a painter! He’s gained experience working with youth coaching soccer for two years. Super excited to get amongst it for his as a member of staff and to experience the USA

Teddy Arrowsmith, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and will be joining us for his second summer on staff! He is a student at Sewanee: The University of the South where he is studying history. Teddy grew up attending nearby Camp High Rocks and is ecstatic to enjoy a similar experience this summer. He enjoys playing basketball and golf and his free time and loves the outdoors. Teddy is super excited to share his experiances with our campers this summer!

Melissa Murray is a sculptor and is joining camp this year for her Second time on staff! Originally from the mountains of Colorado, she moved to the UK after university and now lives and works in Cambridge. In college she raced road, track and mountain bikes and though she now lives in an extremely flat environment, still enjoys cycling regularly. Melissa is experienced hiker and campervan enthusiast. In her artistic work she loves fostering a sense of playful curiosity though creating interactive artworks. She is really looking forward to sharing her creativity with campers this summer!

Sheridan Pipkin, from Landrum, South Carolina, will be returning for her third summer on staff! Sheridan graduated with degrees in Animal Science Pre-Vet and Agricultural Business Management from Oregon State University while also working at summer camps out West. After spending nearly 6 years on the road traveling as a groom for Olympic level riders she is excited to share her passion for horses with campers as the Head of Riding. If not on horseback, Sheridan can be found hiking with her dog or enjoying the sunshine with a good book.

Brian McWilliams, from Atlanta, Georgia will be here for his third summer on staff! He was a camper for 1 summer, and his brother was a Mondamin camper and counselor as well. Brian is a climber, paddler, and a gymnast. He’s gained experience working with youth being a gymnastics instructor for 3 years. He is super excited to be back for his second summer on staff!

Jonah D’Antonio, from Sewickley, PA, will return for his sixth year on paddling staff! He was a camper at Mondamin for 7 years. He is a student at Appalachian State University, studying History/Social Studies Education. He hopes to become a teacher once he graduates. Jonah is an avid whitewater paddler.

Robert Brewer, from Caracas, Venezuela, is returning for his fourth year on staff! He has been on our sailing staff and has been a linehead. After working as a lift operator in Steamboat Springs this winter he is excited to spend some time in the sun here at camp. Robert plays the bass guitar, does stand up comedy and is (almost) an engineer.

Jon Mullen, from Charlotte, NC is back for his twenty first summer as our talented photographer! In addition to being a K-5th science teacher, Jon is a beekeeper, a certified massage therapist, and a piano teacher. He does occasional voice-over work, is a published author, and speaks multiple languages. He was the “Science Superhero” for the Discovery Channel a few years ago.

Bill Felder, from Dallas, TX, but with a home here in Tuxedo, will be back for his ninetheeth summer on staff. Bill was a camper in the ’60s and ’70s and now oversees our sailing program. He enjoys flying planes and fly fishing. His two sons have previously been on our staff, as has his wife, Katharine.

Seamus Scranton, from Raleigh, NC, will be here for his second summer on staff! He currently attends the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he is pursuing a degree in film studies. He was a camper for 6 summers leading him to love swimming, paddling, camping, and music around the campfire!

William Harvey, from Asheville, NC, attends Tacoma Community College and will be here for his third summer on staff! He was a camper for 6 summers, developing a lifelong passion for the outdoors right at Mondamin. William worked for the Utah Conservation Corps, has a passion for music and enjoys backpacking, sailing, and climbing.

Sharn Huggins, from Portsmouth, UK, will be here for her second summer on staff! She is excited to help our campers join the adventure here at camp! She is looking forward to making new friends, spending time with old ones, and working with our campers. In her free time you can find her outdoors riding and taking care of horses.

Matthew Edwards will be here for his second summer on staff, all the way from New Zealand! He has spent the last 3 years fully immersing himself in the outdoors, from the depths of dark caves to the warmth of the sun while kayaking. He’s always keen to try something new and is ready to put his outdoor experience to use working with our campers this summer!

Andrew Rice, from Columbus, OH, will be back for his third year on staff! He graduated from Davidson College in 2024 and is now teaching 7th grade math in Rosman, NC. In his free time, he enjoys climbing, hiking, reading, and coaching wrestling. He is super excited for another summer with camp!

John Lane, from Lexington, KY, will be on staff for his seventh summer! John graduated with a degree in History from the University of Kentucky and is working towards a Masters in Education. John loves hiking and backpacking, his years on staff helped him realize that he wanted to become a teacher and he is now teaching highschool in Charlotte, NC. John also hopes to one day be the President of the United States.

George Acworth is returning from sunny Bournemouth, UK! He’s totally stoked to be back for his third year at camp! Trading in his work in Vaccine Development, he now studies Medicine at Cardiff University. George is a keen athlete, and loves to stay activie. This summer he hopes to achieve his dream of becoming an Ultra Aquaman, the highest level in our swimming program.

Mathison Hole, from Cohasset, MA, will be here for his second summer on staff! Mathison attends the University of Colorado, where he is studying Finance in the Leeds School of Business. Mathison is on the Men’s Hockey team at CU. He was a camper for 7 years leading him to love whitewater paddling. He is very excited to be apart of our staff this summer!

Bunyan Morris, from Statesboro, GA, is returning for his eighth summer running our arts and crafts program. He has a Masters degree in Art Education and has taught for many years. Bunyan melds his love of art with his appreciation of nature. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder and helps lead some crafty trips in the backcountry.

Liam Drawdy, from Katy, Texas, will be here for his second summer on staff! Liam attends Houston Community College pursuing a degree in ecology. He was a camper for 7 years leading him to develop a deep love for the outdoors including backpacking, fishing, and climbing. During his free time you can find Liam in the outdoors enjoying the same activites he was so fond of at camp!

Alex (Nature Al) Scharnberg will be back to run our nature lab for his seventeen summer! He has an undergraduate degree in political science from Hobart College and a Master’s in Middle and Secondary education from UNC Charlotte. During the year he teaches 6th grade science in Charlotte. When he’s not at Camp, he can be found tending his freshwater fish tanks, working on his orchids and tropical plants in his Greenhouse or outside in his garden with his roses and bonsai. He loves to hike and explore the natural world!

Peyton Alford from Flat Rock, NC will be here for his second summer on staff! I’m very excited for my opportunity to work at camp mondamin this summer. He is curently pursuing a degree in buisness at BRCC. Peyton loves to be outdoors and enjoys camping, fishing, golfing, swimming, and tennis/pickleball! He can’t wait to start this summer off right with many outdoor adventures!!

Pat Cudd, from Six Mile, South Carolina will be returning for his sixth year on staff. A camper for 4 years, Pat is excited to be on our paddling staff help show campers down the local rivers that he lovesw. Pat studies Human Capital at Clemson University, is passionate about whitewater kayaking an loves playing his guitar.

Finnegan Sullivan, from Portland, ME, will return for his 3rd summer on staff! He is a student at Connecticut College, studying Psychology and Art. In his free time he stays busy with soccer, piano, guitar, and Catan. He is super excited to expand on his own outdoor experiance, swing some tennis rackets, and hit some pickle balls!

Escher Barrett, from Nashville, TN, will be here for his second summer on staff! He currently attends Georgia Institute of Technology where he is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. As a camper for 7 summers, Escher has continued to pursue the activities he fell in love with here at camp, including hiking, camping, climbing, swimming, sailing, and anything outside!
